Dog Training Success Stories

Hope is important in the early stages of training. It’s easy to feel like you’re alone and your dog is unusually troubled. But others have been where you are currently, and they’re now enjoying wonderful lives with their dogs.

Dogspring Training Reviews

Grace, a young Golden Retriever

Our Grace spent 3 weeks with Nate Hess and what a difference if makes. She sits and stays and walks like a charm. comes to the call quickly listens actually knows what NO means. Miracles do happen. Before she was very pulling and jumping and hard to control. Sweet but her manners were lacking.

Im so happy she went to Dogspring training. She listens and follows commands. I’m so Grateful she went to Dogspring Training for the Higher learning program. Thank you – Joe and Julia Youngs, Clovis, CA

Poppy, the very energetic and sometimes stubborn labroodle…

Poppy finished her three week training at Dogspringtraining and we are thrilled with the results! Now we are practicing working with her in her home environment. We can see how much potential she has to become the polite dog of our dreams. Nate is an amazing trainer and Poppy adores him. If your dog needs better manners, this is the answer❣️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Virginia Kalt, Clovis, CA

Bruno, the massive rescue French mastiff mix…

…with a big heart but no manners, who pulled on leash, knocked people over, and didn’t listen.

Kathryn DiPirro reviewed Dogspring Training

Dogspring did a great job taking care of our family dog, Bruno! He is a rescue mastiff who didn’t know how to control his impulses to run through people or calm himself down. Now he is more careful in his reactions and has learned how to control himself. Would definitely bring another dog to Nate!

Kathyrn, Anne and John, Prather, CA

Jovie, a wild young Bernedoodle…

Jovie and I went out early this morning for disc golf and as much of a structured walk as possible, and her behavior was almost perfect This is only day 1 after picking her up from the 1 week board and train program, and I’m so glad Rachael and I invested in this! She didn’t pull once, even when she saw squirrels, rabbits, birds, and other dogs! She barked at 1 person that was 100 yards away, but otherwise she sat every time I asked and was very quiet and gentle when meeting others. What a pleasant morning Thank you Nate – Phil and Rachael Krumpe, Clovis, CA

Carmella, the rescue lab mix…

…with severe fear and reactivity issues.

Allison Gage recommends Dogspring Training.

Our girl was timid and afraid. Because she would bark and act aggressive to keep people away, no one ever got to know how sweet she really was. I felt like we were the only ones who knew the “real” her. The board and train was the best thing that ever happened to our family! Now she can be around other dogs and new people. A COMPLETE transformation! So many people comment on how sweet she is now. Everyone gets to enjoy her, not just us anymore and she is a happier dog for sure!

Allison, Brad, Carmella and family, Clovis, CA

Cruz, an energetic black lab mix puppy…

We took our 5 month old lab to Nate and what a difference we’ve seen! He is much calmer, he walks on a leash now, and he’s not jumping on us all the time now. In addition, after Cruz completed his one week of training, we are now able to attend the Saturday refresh classes as often as we want to help us keep on track with Cruz’s training. Nate is very knowledge. I highly recommend Dogspring Training! – Ryan and Christina Smith, Clovis, CA

Otter, a wild young German Shepherd mix..

Amazing work they did for us in helping us with our pup Otter. – Minh Blackhurst, Clovis, CA

Skipper, an Australian shepherd struggling with reactivity and hyperactivity issues…

We took our VERY energetic Australian shepherd mix to Dogspring Training for the week long New Beginnings Program and are so happy with the results we’ve seen. Prior to training, our dog could not be taken anywhere because of his reactivity to other dogs. After training, our dog is much more comfortable being around dogs he doesn’t know. Nate has been amazing at teaching us how to understand our dog better and help him continue learning. Dogspring training allows us unlimited access to the Saturday classes where we can continue to work with Nate to help our dog maintain what he’s learned. We loved seeing the daily updates on social media while our dog was away, and we could tell how much Nate wants all the dogs he works with to succeed! Our dog can be a handful, but Nate was always patient when working with him. – Camryn Kross, Hanford, CA

Milo, a young miniature poodle…

Walking with 6 month old Milo was also a chore. We almost stopped walking with him. Nate transformed Milo into a pup we enjoy walking with. He is truly a dog “whisperer “. – Helen McIntire, Clovis

Remie, the wild and intense Belgian Malinois puppy…

I just got my Belgian Malinois x GSD from her puppy board and train from Dogspring Training. She has improved so much in the time that she has been there. She is still learning, but Nate and his family have done a great job in creating the foundation for Remie’s future. I appreciate the support that they offer even after she has finished her stay. I will be taking her to the Saturday Rebound classes to keep up her training. Overall, if you have a difficult breed such as mine or not, I would encourage to check out Dogspring Training for your furry family member!

Molly, the young rescued GSD mix…

… with lots of energy but few manners.

We adopted Molly, a 6-month old Shepherd mix, last month from a rescue shelter; she was exuberant, unfocused, and difficult to handle. Walks with Molly were chores. Thanks to Nate and Dogspring’s week-long overnight training, Molly has transformed into a calmer, focused, and more easily managed puppy. Walks with Molly are now a pleasure without the former constant tugging and distractions. She walks nicely at our side with much less need for correction and refocusing. The Saturday Rebound classes are wonderful to keep Molly and us on track and improve her behavior. Thanks so much to Nate and Dogspring for Molly’s transformation. We highly recommend this program! The Riley-Green Family, Clovis

Ralphie, a young, confident and high energy Poodle…

Highly recommend. I don’t know where we (and our puppy) would be without Nate. The best part is the continued guidance, education, and practice after laying down solid foundation. I’m so happy we did this and can continue to be supported and have skills developed and maintained with Saturday rebound classes. – Carrie Kuffel, Fresno, CA

Nate and his family went above and beyond in training my German Shepherd puppy,Thor. Walking with him is enjoyable now although at times he tend to test us but persistent in training is always the key. The support is always there when we needed it. We couldn’t be more thrilled that we found Nate and Dogspring Training! After just one week with Nate we have noticed a huge difference in our little pup. He has done so much better with his listening; sit, stay, come, etc. He stays on his mat when we ask him too and he is getting better with walking on a leash. Nate has been so wonderful in answering so many of our questions along the way as well. Walker is almost 5 months and has a ton of puppy energy so we have been leaning on him a lot during our training process. When Walker has forgotten some of his training or is falling into old ways, Nate has offered lots of help, guidance, and brush-up sessions. Walker is getting ready to go back for his second full week of training with Nate and mom, dad, and puppy are very excited.

Bruce, the anxious rescue GSD…

everythingg.ashh

it’s a Boy Boy’s birthday! a whole TWO YEARS old. 🐾♥️
thank god we rescued you, as much as you stress us out, we literally love the shit out of you.
we rescued Bruce when he was 6 months old. we were his 4th home in 6 months. he was attacked by his house mate 3 times, 2 of the times sending him to the vet in his previous home, before we rescued him.
because of that, he struggles with severe anxiety. he is very reactive to other dogs. he is just scared. scared they are going to attack him. being that is the only encounter he has had with other dogs are negative ones. it is something that he has been working through daily. we recently sent him to @dogspring for a week & since then we have noticed a MAJOR improvement in his confidence & day to day manners. it was a pretty penny, but i would HIGHLY recommend it & it was worth every single penny. thank you @dogspringfor your patience & hard work.
anyway, happy 2nd birthday to my favorite doggo, my bubba, my Brucey Boy, my pooper, my asshole & sometimes even my f*ckhead.
we literally love the shit out of you. – Ashley and Brent Chase, Fresno, CA

Bentley, the young Golden Retriever…

Satcha, the Husky/German Shepherd Mix…

…with a wild streak and a prey drive for the ages.

i’m not sure how nate does what he does. he has done an amazing job with our more-than-a-handful shepard/husky. we did a three week board and train with her and i am SO GLAD we did. she is so much calmer, sweeter, and easier to connect with now then she was before. like i said, i don’t know how he does it. but he does wonderful things with dogs. highest recommendation!!

Bob, Nancy, Tallulah & Satcha, Mariposa, CA

Usui, the wild doberman puppy…

Amazing Transformation!
I have a Doberman puppy who was so crazy. couldn’t walk on the leash right, super impatient, stubborn, and much more. when I found DogSpring and called they were so friendly and ready to help. I left him for the 10 day board and train and oh my goodness he was different!Nate is amazing with dogs, super calm and easy to communicate with! highly recommend Nate at DogSpring Training – Ruby, Clovis

Diesel, the Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff)…

…with tons of energy and no self-control.

Sandra McCall Moffitt recommends Dogspring Training.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would highly recommend dogspring training! Diesel is a 10 month 110 lb HIGHLY energetic cane corso that I was having trouble getting to listen, settle and not jump on people. He loved his stay and training sessions with Nate and does a better job with his commands and tries really hard to stay calm. Nate’s patients and love of dogs is definitely seen in his work and diesel and I are thankful to have found him!

Sandra, Rodney, Diesel & Family, Fresno, CA.

Currington and Baxter, the Pekingese / Pomeranian mixes…

…who barked at everything, chewed on everything, struggled on leash, and rarely listened.

These boys had been to several group dog training classes but they needed a more personalized and intensive approach. They both worked very hard in a board and train, and then their person did AWESOME work to maintain their progress. Now:

Su Rosenthal reviewed Dogspring Training

My two wild boys went and stayed with Nate for 3 weeks of training! Currington who NEVER listened, now listens nicely most of the time. (when really frenzied it takes a few tries, but we get there with the tools / methods Nate has shown us). We still have a ways to go – but honestly it is mostly my training that is lacking now, not the dogs!

Nate did a GREAT job with them and I am not hesitant to HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend him!

Su, Baxter & Currington, Fresno, CA

Nala, the German Shepherd…

…who had trouble listening around other dogs and new people.

Anthony M Fraser

We had our GSD named Nala board and train for 3 weeks. She is going very well since coming home. We continue to work with Dogspring on a regular basis to continue our dog’s training. I highly recommend Dogspring Training.

Anthony, Laura, Nala & Family, Clovis, CA

Joshua, the Golden Retriever…

…whose behavior was less than golden.

BEFORE TRAINING

He gets biting, grabbing  and barking when he’s made to do the simplest of things…going for a walk. We can hardly go it our backyard without him getting nippy and “attacking”.

We have had him to our vet(s) who says he has a strong personality, bossy and not wired right and the recommendation is re-home him or put him down. Do you think you can help us or is the best alternative the rescue…don’t want to spend a fortune with no change in behavior or is that just who he is any will never change and won’t be able to trust him.
AFTER TRAINING

What did you do with the real Joshua…because his “clone” is very pleasant to be around. If you recall the nipping and biting problems going into the yard and pool. We go out most mornings to play and he retrieves his float toys and then he gets the zoomies and comes in and takes a nap. He lays quietly  in the nook while we eat or on the mat…no nipping rare barking. Mike and Emily say walks are going very well. The mat is a nest. He collects his toys and takes his blanket all on the mat so he can roll on them.

You worked a miracle with Joshua THANK YOU SO MUCH.

God bless the work that you do…

Carroll, Mike, Emily & Joshua, Hanford, CA
